Wollongong Hospital

Wollongong Hospital is undergoing a small refurbishment to transform two Inpatient Units (IPU) for palliative care and rehabilitation services, delivering improved and contemporary facilities. 

The refurbishments for the rehabilitation services will take place on Ward C6 West and will include: 

• enhanced activities of daily living facilities to be co-located with the ward
• a dedicated rehabilitation gym

The palliative care works will occur on Ward C7 and will include:

• a full redesign and rebuild of the existing floor layout and patient rooms
• provisions of patient and family support areas

Work is expected to be completed in 2023.
