It’s important to us that healthcare services meet the needs of the people who use them. Working together as partners to see things from each other’s point of view is a vital part of designing and building new healthcare facilities. As we plan the new Shellharbour Hospital, and the new Warrawong Community Health Centre, we invite the community to provide input into elements of the design. This input is then considered for the final designs.
It is a key priority for Health Infrastructure and the District to conduct effective and meaningful engagement throughout the lifecycle of the project, particularly as part of the design phase. Successful engagement with a range of consumers helps to ensure the project meets the needs of the entire community.
Throughout 2023, the Project Team consulted with the community and staff about the new Shellharbour Hospital and the Warrawong Community Health Centre. Continue to check the website for a range of community engagement activities and events.
